Terms of Service
These apply when you use protype.dev, the Protype Hub apps, or the hub service they connect to.

Who these terms are with
PROTYPE LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 16448097, at Piccadilly Business Centre, Blackett Street, Manchester M12 6AE, United Kingdom.
Your account
You need an account to use Protype Hub. Keep your credentials to yourself, and tell us if you think somebody else has them. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
If you grant another person access to a printer, you are responsible for what they do with it.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, to reach machines you are not entitled to reach, or to attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
A 3D printer is a heated appliance
Protype Hub lets you start, stop and configure machines that heat to several hundred degrees and move under power. Whoever operates the machine is responsible for operating it safely, including deciding whether it is safe to start a print that nobody is standing next to.
Remote control is a convenience, not a supervisor. We do not watch your machines, and nothing in the software should be relied on to prevent a fire, a crash or a failed print.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running and do not guarantee that it always will be. Enrolment, remote access and access control depend on our hub; when the hub is unavailable, so are they.
Subscriptions
This section is written in advance and is not yet in force. No subscription is sold today, and nothing on this site charges you.
When subscriptions begin: they renew automatically for the period you chose until you cancel; you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for; prices are shown before you pay, and a change takes effect at the next renewal rather than the current one.
Your statutory rights to cancel and to a refund are not affected by anything written here.
Our software and yours
The apps, the service and this site remain ours. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them while these terms hold.
Your printer configuration, your model files and your prints are yours. We claim nothing over them.
Ending it
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to remove your account, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, and will say why unless the law prevents us.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Otherwise we are not liable for lost profits, lost prints, wasted material, or business losses arising from your use of the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
